A new street look has taken place at Will Rogers Middle School with the addition of a newly engineered parking lot which has relieved traffic congestion at peak times and makes for a safer student drop off area; as well as better student safe route to campus.

During project
In addition the old weight room has been demolished and will be replaced with a new 1920 square foot facility with rubberized sports flooring which will facilitate the planned training exercises for their well known sports teams. The weight room building will be CHPS certified with solar roofing.

Project Completion
New landscaping and irrigation has enhanced the exterior appearance along Dewey and the District in conjunction with the Sacramento Tree Foundation removed 16 old/dying trees and planted 33 new trees. The parking lot is being lit by all new architectural LED lighting. The Inc. 1 Sitework contract was completed by Martin General Engineering with a mere change order percentage of 1% on a $1,198,000 original contract value.
Project Overview
The project scope included:
- In conjunction with the Sacramento Tree Foundation removed 16 old/dying trees and planted 33 new trees.
- The parking lot is being lit by all new architectural LED lighting.
